These rings weigh 19.70 carats, which is 3.93 grams and they measure to be a size 6 1/2 to a 6 3/4 or 6.75 - they are sort of in between 6 1/2 and 6 3/4. I took a photo of the rings on the ring sizer so you can see the size really well.

They are 14k white gold and they are stamped with 14 k as well as "KAYNAR" which is the maker's mark. I have seen other KAYNAR brand antique and vintage wedding and engagement ring sets of similar style and. So this is a good deal.

This was my grandmothers and I want to keep it but times are tough and I have to let it go unfortunately. My favorite part about this is that is has paisley designs on the sides and I LOVE LOVE LOVE paisleys, they are BY FAR my FAVORITE print or design! But I can't eat this ring, or fix my air conditioner on my car with this ring, (and where I live it gets to be 115 degrees so an air conditioner in a car is not a luxury- but more of a necessity). They are really gorgeous, and in perfect condition! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for looking at my listing. A wedding ring or wedding band is a finger ring that indicates that its wearer is married. It is used forged from metal, and traditionally is forged of gold or another precious metal. The earliest examples of wedding rings are from Ancient Egypt. Depending on culture, a wedding ring is typically worn on the base of the left or right ring finger.

Many spouses wear their wedding rings day and night, causing an indentation in the skin that is visible even when the ring is removed. Since the 19th century in the West, it has been considered unlucky to remove a wedding ring once it has been placed on the finger in church. In Western nations, wedding rings are often forged of rose, white, or yellow gold; palladium, platinum, argentium silver, or, more recently, silicone. The perpetuity of noble metals symbolizes the permanence of the marriage.

Common engravings on the inside of the ring include the name of one's spouse, the names of both spouses, the date of the wedding, and/or a phrase of significance to the spouses. In many nations the engagement rings are plain while the bride's wedding ring commonly is bejeweled. This custom was practiced in ancient Rome and is possibly much older.

An engagement ring is a ring indicating that the person wearing it is engaged to be married, especially in Western cultures. A ring is presented as an engagement gift by a partner to their prospective spouse when they propose marriage or directly after a marriage proposal is accepted. It represents a formal agreement to future marriage.

In Western countries, engagement rings are worn mostly by women, and rings can feature diamonds or other gemstones. In some cultures, men and women wear matching rings, and engagement rings may also be used as wedding rings.

Neither the engagement nor any other ring is worn during the wedding ceremony, when the wedding ring is put by the groom on the finger of the bride as part of the ceremony, and sometimes by the bride onto the groom's finger. After the wedding, the engagement ring is usually put back on, and is usually worn on the outside of the wedding ring.

Some brides have their engagement and wedding rings permanently soldered together after the wedding. Pure gold is slightly reddish yellow in color, [1] but colored gold in various other colors can be produced. Colored golds can be classified to three groups:[2]. Alloys with silver and copper in various proportions, producing white, yellow, green and red golds.

These are typically malleable alloys. Intermetallic compounds, producing blue and purple golds, as well as other colors. These are typically brittle, but can be used as gems and inlays. Surface treatments, such as oxide layers. Pure 100% (in practice, 99.9% or better) gold is 24 karat by definition, so all colored golds are less than this, with the common being 18K (75%), 14K (58.5%), 10K (41.6%), and 9K (37.5%). White gold is an alloy of gold and at least one white metal (usually nickel, manganese, or palladium). Like yellow gold, the purity of white gold is given in karats. White gold's properties vary depending on the metals used and their proportions. As a result, white gold alloys can be used for many different purposes; while a nickel alloy is hard and strong, and, therefore, good for rings and pins, gold-palladium alloys are soft, pliable, and good for white gold gemstone settings, sometimes with other metals, like copper, silver, and platinum, added for weight and durability (although this often requires specialized goldsmiths).

The term white gold is used very loosely in the industry to describe karat gold alloys with a whitish hue. It is a common misconception that the color of the rhodium plating, which is seen on many commercial pieces, is actually the color of white gold. The term "white" covers a large spectrum of colors that borders or overlaps pale yellow, tinted brown, and even very pale rose.

The jewelry industry often conceals these off-white colors by rhodium plating. A common white gold formulation consists of 90 wt. % gold and 10 wt.

[3] Copper can be added to increase malleability. The strength of goldnickelcopper alloys is caused by formation of two phases, a gold-rich AuCu, and a nickel-rich NiCu, and the resulting hardening of the material. The alloys used in jewelry industry are goldpalladiumsilver and goldnickelcopperzinc. Palladium and nickel act as primary bleaching agents for gold; zinc acts as a secondary bleaching agent to attenuate the color of copper. The nickel used in some white gold alloys can cause an allergic reaction when worn over long periods (also notably on some wristwatch casings).

This reaction, typically a minor skin rash from nickel dermatitis, occurs in about one out of eight people; because of this, many countries do not use nickel in their white gold formulations.
